My First Impressions of Chiang Mai and the EarthRights School (ERS)

My First Impressions of Chiang Mai and the EarthRights School (ERS)

EarthRights School taken at the second day of arriving Chiang Mai

Everybody might have their first impressions when they reach new places or meet new people. The trip to Chiang Mai and the EarthRights school was the first ever flight and international trip throughout my life. Therefore, it made me experience new things and new people for my life especially, the Mitharsuu Centre Building, the staffs in the Centre and classmates of EarthRights School program 2019, and the environment of the Chiang Mai.
When I first stepped my feet into the Mitharsuu Centre, I felt a very peaceful environment. A beautiful place which is full of various types of plants and trees made me breathe fresh and clean air. Moreover, the whole building is evocative when it is built eco-friendly because seeing this building took me back to an experience in the past where I had a training on environment in a mud building. I felt like everything in my eyes was so beautiful.

In addition, I can feel sense of family and attachment when I met people here. The staffs as well as the students in the Centre are very friendly and helpful for me. Since I’m an introvert, it is very difficult for me to start a conversation with a new people. But, I felt that the people always give me a space to open up my feelings, opinions, problems, experiences and concerns. Besides, the students are always ready to help each other and try to understand different opinions. So I can say that it is an environment for me where I can act as I am very comfortably.

Another thing I want to mention is Chiang Mai City. The mountains and the river alongside the city are just stunning while seeing the mountains from the rooftop of the Centre and visiting the Ping river  gave me a very pleasant feeling. Furthermore, the products like the clothes here are more worth to buy than in my own country. So I think that it is a very liveable place that even I don’t want to go back my country.

In conclusion, Chiang Mai is a place where I can experience the nature especially beautiful mountains and I have been experiencing a very peaceful and friendly surrounding in Chiang Mai and the EarthRights School.
